You’re right Auntie Em, it is racism! The problem is you can only call it such if the situation is reversed.
The fact is that ever since 1861 Caucasians have been told that it is wrong to place our own culture and believes above that of another culture. And while I believe this concept to be fundamentally right our problem today is that we have taken it to far. This is causing our own values to be eroded. Things are not helped by our gutless desire to always be politically correct. Today it is almost unheard of for a television commentator, an establishment politician, a church leader or anyone else in a position of influence to question the wisdom of having a multiracial society. Yet if you asked the ordinary Canadian man or woman in the street whether they prefer living in an ethnic community that refuses to adopt our own values or whether they would prefer to live in a mostly Caucasian society, a significant proportion are almost certain to opt for the latter. Why is there this imbalance between ordinary people and the opinion formers of society?
As I have said before on this forum, I am the first to offer the hand of friendship to all new immigrants. Having said that, I have no time for people who for what ever reason choose to abandon their own country for Canada only to try and recreate it here.

Sounds much like Richmond. In Richmond last year, a business was refused the renewal of their lease in a mall because they weren't Asians. So far, no legal action has been taken... to the best of my knowledge.
"It is illegal to discriminate against any person(s) based on race, religon, or gender, etc" This will soon be amended to read " .....unless you are Asian, or from Iran, or any country in the Middle East. Then just go for it, bubba!"
I can hardly wait until Canada elects an Asian prime Minister. Oh well, we've had almost 40 years of Quebecers ruling over us... so maybe that would be an improvement.

I do not agree that it is multiculturism to print the ASIAN PAGES!
I was as pissed off when I saw that as the writer of this forum.
I am not even close to racist which is why I cannot agree that creating an Asian pages is right in any way!!!!
It would be different if it were only specialty asian stores selling specialty asian services...That would be understandable. It is not though. It is plain old businesses including computer repair, hairdressing and other regular old businesses.
The part that pissed me off the most was that there is a asian card in the book and if you bring it in to the businesses you get a discount!
HAHAHA I lost the damn card but I was dying to bring it in and see if I could get a discount! Im a white ass red head! HA!
geez how racist would it be if we had the whitey pages?
